GLOBAL WARMING and WEATHER?

Global Warming at the "Red Lion"

I met a man from Kneesworth who talked about the weather
Of hurricanes and whirlwinds and all that kind of blether.
He said that global warming was getting “very rife”
And confirmed it as I sat there by referring to his wife.

“She’s hotter than the Gobi,” he proudly did explain
As if she were the genuine, human weather vane.

“Her lips are dry and parched
Her legs are growing redder
And when she starts to itch like that
She isn’t feeling clever.”

I looked across the table at the likely lady seer -
Should I pose a question of this local panacea?
“She is a rare phenomenon,” I started then to think
“A present indication of why we’re going down the sink.”

But then she stood up boldly and grabbed her husband’s ear
“It’s home for you my darling, if you cannot hold your beer.”
