What's on offer?

  • The Book Cafe has over three thousand books to lend, with the latest popular fiction, a large children's section, a local history section and the ability to order almost any book you might need.

Our popular Cafe is a great village meeting place.  Two computers with optic fibre connections provide fast Internet access for and to the community.

We are pleased to enrol new members during opening hours.  You are welcome to browse: or why not have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee or make use of the on-line computers?

Book Cafe members live in the villages of Kneesworth, Abbington Piggots, Steeple Morden, Guilden Morden, Litlington as well as Bassingbourn, though not exclusively so: new members are most welcome from Bassingbourn Barracks, together with villagers from nearby parishes of Whaddon and Shingay-cum-Wendy
